The SYMYO Method

Stop Chasing Symptoms. Improve the System.

Movement rehabilitation at SYMYO

Getting out of pain is important.

But if the only goal is to make you feel better today, it’s easy to end up in the same cycle: something hurts, you get treatment, you feel better, then it starts hurting again.

At SYMYO, we want to understand why you’re struggling, help restore what your body needs, and build the strength to keep doing the things you enjoy.

Why People Stay Stuck

One Tool Cannot Solve Every Problem

Stretching can create motion, but may not teach control. Hands-on care can provide relief, but relief alone may not change why the problem returns. Strength can help your body do more, but loading a poor movement pattern may make it harder to change.

These tools work best when you know what your body needs first.

The SYMYO Method connects treatment, mobility, rehabilitation, and strength in the right order for you.

The Three-Step Framework

A Clear Order for Lasting Progress

Your plan may move between phases as you improve, but every decision serves one of these three jobs.

Reduce phase of the SYMYO Method

01

Reduce

Make movement feel possible again

First, we reduce the pain, irritation, tension, and movement restrictions that keep your body guarded. This may include hands-on treatment, targeted mobility work, and simple strategies that help movement feel more comfortable.

Pain and irritation · Excess tension · Movement restrictions

Restore phase of the SYMYO Method

02

Restore

Rebuild the movement options you are missing

Feeling better is only the beginning. Next, we restore the mobility, control, stability, and movement quality your body needs so the same compensation does not keep taking over.

Mobility · Control and stability · Movement quality

Reinforce phase of the SYMYO Method

03

Reinforce

Make your progress hold up in real life

Once you are moving better, we build the strength, control, and tolerance you need for the things you enjoy—training, golf, running, work, travel, and everyday life.

Strength · Control · Tolerance

What This Looks Like

The Painful Area Is Only One Part of the Story

01

What You Notice

Your lower back feels tight every time you squat, golf, or stand too long.

02

What We Measure

Your assessment may reveal limited hip motion, poor trunk control, or a strength deficit making your back take on extra work.

03

How We Build the Plan

Reduce the irritation, restore missing motion and control, then reinforce the new strategy with progressive strength.

This example explains the framework; it is not a diagnosis. Your plan depends on your individual history and assessment findings.

Common Questions

The SYMYO Method FAQ

What is the SYMYO Method?+

The SYMYO Method is how we help you move forward: first make movement easier, then restore what your body is missing, and finally build the strength to keep using it.

Does everyone begin with the Reduce phase?+

Not necessarily. Your assessment determines what is limiting you and where you should begin. Someone in pain may need more emphasis on Reduce, while someone lacking capacity may spend more time in Reinforce.

How is this different from regular chiropractic or physical therapy?+

The SYMYO Method does not rely on one tool. Hands-on care, mobility work, rehabilitation, and strength training are used in the order and amount your assessment indicates.

How do you decide what my plan should include?+

Care begins with a complete Movement and Performance Assessment. Dr. Mitch measures posture, mobility, balance, strength, movement quality, and how your body works around limitations before creating your roadmap.
