Head & Neck
See how your head and neck naturally line up when you stand.
Posture Analysis in Farmington Hills
Rounded shoulders. A forward head. One hip or shoulder sitting higher than the other.
Posture analysis helps us measure what you see—but the goal is not to make you stand perfectly straight.
The goal is to understand your body better.
Posture analysis is included in every SYMYO Movement & Performance Assessment.

Part of the Picture
There is no single perfect posture everyone must hold all day. Your body is supposed to sit, stand, bend, rotate, reach, relax, and change positions.
Two people can look similar and need completely different things. Someone can also have clear postural differences and feel completely fine.
That is why we do not diagnose a problem from one picture. We compare your posture with your symptoms, goals, mobility, strength, balance, and movement.

What We Measure
Movement-analysis technology helps us measure details that can be difficult to judge consistently with the naked eye. Getting the numbers is only the beginning. The important part is understanding what they mean for you.
See how your head and neck naturally line up when you stand.
Measure shoulder position, rib cage position, and meaningful differences between sides.
Look at pelvic position, shifts, and how your upper and lower body line up.
Compare posture findings with the way your body moves and performs.
A Complete Assessment
Your posture is evaluated alongside the physical qualities that show how your body actually performs.
01
How does your body naturally position itself?
02
Do your shoulders, hips, and spine move enough for the activities you value?
03
Can your body support and control the movements you need?
04
Can you stay stable, and are there meaningful differences between sides?
05
How do these pieces work together when you squat, reach, rotate, and move?
Measure → Understand → Improve
Not every difference needs to be corrected. Not every tight muscle needs to be stretched. Not everything that looks imperfect is a problem.
After your assessment, we organize the findings into your Physical Health Report and explain what is working well, where there is room to improve, and what should come first.
Your plan may include mobility, strength, stability, or changes to how you perform certain movements. It may also show that the posture finding you were worried about is not the priority.
The goal is clarity—not finding more things wrong with you.

Common Questions
We can measure your posture and show you what we see, but posture is not simply good or bad. The useful question is whether a finding matters for your movement, symptoms, or goals.
Posture can affect how your body is loaded and how certain positions feel, but pain is more complex than one measurement. That is why posture is compared with movement, mobility, strength, balance, symptoms, and daily activities.
First, we determine whether the position is something that deserves attention. If testing shows useful opportunities to improve mobility, control, or strength, those findings can become part of your plan.
No. Posture analysis is included in the SYMYO Movement & Performance Assessment so it can be understood alongside the rest of your testing.
